Can you read the line above? It addresses the reason why we decided to change the name of our store from 'Sleepy Hollow Bed Co., Inc. to Discount Mattress.

When the 'big box' chain stores came to town, we were overwhelmed to the extent of about 5 times a day people would confuse our name with their name. Since we are not interested in being the biggest store with ALL the biggest name brands and ALL the advertising that goes with it, we decided our new name would better represent what we sell and at the same time differentiate us from any other mattress store, thus greatly minimizing consumer confusion. If this surprises you think about how we felt! It is not so surprising when you consider that the human mind, especially in this over- advertised society we live in - can only retain so much information and whenever possible our brain finds ways to condense information or fill in information for the sake of simplification and storage. This is why you can read and understand that the mispelled line above actually reads, ' a special note here for those of you who are curious to know why we changed our name '
